LET THE HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS BEGIN ABOARD A PITTSBURGH DINING & SIGHTSEEING TOUR THIS NOVEMBER

The autumn leaves are falling into the waters of the three rivers, the air is getting a noticeable chill and the Gateway Clipper Fleet is gearing up for a fabulous, fun and family-friendly holiday season! While we are all getting over the chocolate frenzy of Halloween, now is the time to begin thinking about all the exciting November happenings BEFORE the “official” holiday season begins.

A Pittsburgh Dining tradition continues to sail every Saturday evening in November – the Captain’s Dinner Dance Cruise.  Join us out on the water on this fabulous dining experience aboard a picturesque riverboat tour. Enjoy a great dinner, live entertainment and the beautiful sights of our enlivened city at night.

“There are so many people that ask, ‘What is there to do in Pittsburgh on the weekends?’ and to me that is a really odd question,” says Terry Wirginis, Gateway Clipper President. “There is so much to do in the city especially on the weekends.  There are many more people living downtown, great restaurants and bars are now open and people are everywhere. It’s really the place to be.”

The Captain’s Dinner Dance sails on Saturdays, November 7, 14, 21 and 28. Reservations are suggested and can be made by visiting the Captains Dinner Dance page or by calling 412-355-7980.

Voted one of Pittsburgh’s Best Thanksgiving Dinners, join us on our traditional Thanksgiving Dinner Cruises sailing on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26. Executive Chef, David Logan, prepares a feast that is both abundant and delicious! Featuring traditional roast turkey, savory sage stuffing, hard-carved Virginia ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, cinnamon maple whipped yams, our famous glazed baby carrots, a variety of salads, muffins, rolls and of course, pumpkin pie! Plus, we will have a DJ aboard to play all your favorite hits, plus some holiday songs too! It’s the perfect way to spend the holiday with family and friends, without the hassle of cooking or cleaning up! We offer three sailing times – 12 Noon, 1:00 pm and 4:30 pm. We recommend making your reservations early online from our Thanksgiving Dinner page or by calling 412-355-7980.

Ho, Ho, Ho – Santa Claus is coming to town aboard a Pittsburgh Riverboat Sightseeing Cruise! Join us Thanksgiving weekend as we welcome Santa Claus and all his friends to kick off the holiday season out on the water aboard our Holiday Family Tradition – the Santa Fun Cruises. Join Santa and his famous friends, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and many more aboard this two hour holiday delight! The kids will have time to visit with Santa and let him know what they want for Christmas, dance with all his holiday and “famous” friends as our DJ gets the party started and grab a great lunch at our full service onboard snack bar! All children will receive a treat from Santa and photos with Santa are available for purchase. Santa Fun Cruises sail Friday, November 27, Saturday, November 28 and Sunday, November 29 – 2 sailing times each day at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm. Santa Fun Cruises will continue to sail on weekends until December 20 along with select Monday and Tuesday evenings. Please visit our Santa Fun page for the exact sailing times.
