CRUISING INTO 2024: A JOURNEY WITH THE GATEWAY CLIPPER FLEET

Cruising into 2024: A Journey with the Gateway Clipper Fleet

As the Gateway Clipper Fleet eagerly cruises into the promise of 2024, we can’t help but reflect on the incredible journey of the past year. With a trail of unforgettable memories from 2023, the fleet is poised to build upon its success, introducing new and exciting events that will continue to contribute to Pittsburgh’s riverfront experiences in the upcoming year.

Looking back on our 65th year, we are proud to be part of Pittsburgh’s dynamic blend of innovation, cultural richness, and flourishing community spirit. Last year, we joined forces with local news & radio stations such as 102.5 WDVE, WTAE, 94.5 3WS, and 105.9 The X to raise funds for local charities. We proudly announce a donation of over $20,000 to support vital causes in Western Pennsylvania, including organizations such as UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation, Mario Lemieux Foundation, Greater Pittsburgh Area Food Bank, and the Dollar Energy Fund.

In the momentous occasion of celebrating 65 years of service on the water, we were honored with seven government issued proclamations. To memorialize this milestone, we hosted a lunch cruise attended by friends & family, valued vendors/collaborators, and esteemed politicians such as Mayor Ed Gainey, County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, Council President Theresa Kail-Smith, & more!

In a year filled with love, we joyously hosted over 30 weddings, with 19 of them featuring enchanting ceremonies against the breathtaking backdrop of Pittsburgh’s skyline, creating unforgettable moments for couples embarking their journey of a lifetime together. As we cruise into the new year, we are thrilled to announce our most beloved wedding boat, The Princess, is undergoing a complete interior remodel! We still have dates available so contact us for Pittsburgh’s most unique venue!
