Quick answer

Gateway Clipper runs a riverboat shuttle from the Station Square dock to the North Shore for Steelers home games. It starts 3 hours before kickoff and costs $8 one way or $15 round trip (kids 6 and under ride free); tickets are sold only at the Ticket Office on the Station Square Dock.

Football is back in Pittsburgh! The Steelers opened their 2026 preseason on August 13, and the Gateway Clipper was ready to help fans get to Acrisure Stadium without the traffic and parking headaches. The same ride runs for every Steelers home game.

Skip the traffic. Take the river.

Departing from Station Square, the Gateway Clipper game day shuttle carries fans across the river straight to the North Shore, a short walk from Acrisure Stadium. Park at Station Square, head to the dock, and let us handle the trip. You get a one-of-a-kind view of the skyline and the three rivers on the way, and you arrive ready for kickoff.

Whether you're a lifelong member of Steelers Nation or visiting Pittsburgh for the game, it's one of the most Pittsburgh ways to get to the stadium.

How the Steelers shuttle works

The shuttle doesn't run on a fixed timetable. Boarding opens at the start time, then boats load, cruise across the river, unload and repeat until the game starts. After the game, return trips bring you back to Station Square.

  • Boarding starts: 3 hours before kickoff
  • Return trips: from the start of the 4th quarter until 1 hour after the game
  • Board at: the Gateway Clipper dock, 350 W. Station Square Drive
  • Arrive at: the North Shore, a short walk from Acrisure Stadium

Shuttle fares

  • One way: $8 per person
  • Round trip: $15 per person
  • Kids 6 and under: ride free
  • Groups: same fare for any size group (no group discount)

Football shuttle tickets are sold only at the Ticket Office on our Station Square Dock, not online. Bars are open on board, and we're cashless on the boats (cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay).

Pitt games too

The shuttle also runs for Pitt Panthers home games at Acrisure Stadium, starting 2 hours before kickoff, with return trips from the start of the 4th quarter until 30 minutes after the game. Check the Steelers schedule for home dates, and see Game Day Shuttles for current details, parking tips and directions to the dock. Questions? Call (412) 355-7980.
