Policies, Guidelines & Safety

• Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the stated departure time of your scheduled cruise.
• If assistance is needed due to a disability, please inform your reservation sales agent at time of reservation.

Security brief before boarding

Prior to sailing, the Captain of your vessel will give a safety and security speech. We kindly ask that you listen carefully and if you have any questions or concerns at any time during your cruise, that you contact one of our uniformed deck crew.

• No animals are allowed on premises unless the animal is a licensed service animal.
• No loitering or solicitation is allowed on premises.
• Smoking is not permitted inside any vessel.
• All sightseeing & kids cruises are SMOKE FREE.
• No outside food or beverages are permitted on premises.
• No drones are allowed on property.

• For the safety of all, we reserve the right to search any passenger.
• All bags and/or carry-on containers are subject to inspection.
• Unattended items left on vessels or the dock will be removed immediately.
• Facility and vessels are monitored by C.C.T.V.

Gateway Clipper does not permit open carry by customers. Our normal boarding procedure does not require us to search or ask any passenger if they are carrying a weapon, however, we do reserve the right to do so. If a handgun or any other weapon is revealed, whether by question or search, we will ask that a permit to carry be presented. If they do not have a permit to carry, they will need to return their weapon to their vehicle prior to boarding the vessel.

Some examples of prohibited weapons include

• Firearms (pistols, revolvers, shotguns, rifles, airsoft or bb guns)
• Knives (switchblades, gravity knives or any knife with a blade longer than 3 inches)
• Metal knuckles
• Bows and arrows
• Tasers

Any Gateway Clipper cruise with armed security reserves the right to decide whether firearms will be permitted on board by passengers. This is solely at the discretion of the Gateway Clipper Fleet.

The Gateway Clipper Fleet is committed to providing excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment. Our vessels and crew are licensed and inspected regularly by the U.S. Coast Guard and must operate in compliance with the Marine Transportation Security Act of 2002.

• All our vessels are inspected and certified by the United States Coast Guard.
• Passengers may be subject to search.
• Carry-on items/baggage may be subject to search.
• No drones are allowed on property.

• If the Captain must cancel due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a Gateway Clipper gift card for the full value of your booking. In the event a cruise must be dockside you will be notified prior to sailing.
• We may need to adjust, reschedule, or cancel boarding or sailing times. Guests will be notified by email and/or phone prior to departure.

The Gateway Clipper Fleet is cashless on board every cruise. We accept cash at the Ticket Office and for the Shuttle. Our dock bar, snack bar and every vessel are completely cashless. We accept major credit and debit cards, Google Pay & Apple Pay.

• Casual dress is acceptable on any sightseeing or dance/concert cruise. We suggest “Dressy Casual” or “Dress” attire on any dining cruise.
• We suggest that you wear comfortable shoes that are easy to walk in. We do not suggest you wear spike or excessively high heels.

Parking is available at all Station Square parking lots. We recommend that you park in the West Lot (next to the Gateway Clipper) or in the Parking Garage. Please remember that the Gateway Clipper does not manage Station Square Parking. For any parking issues, please call 412-261-1993 or visit Station Square parking.
