| The Gateway Clipper Fleet is America's premier
riverboat excursion operation! Cruises sail from our dock at Historic Station Square, on the
southern bank of the Monongahela River in Downtown Pittsburgh.
Our five riverboats are fully equipped, staffed and climate-controlled
for your comfort all year long.
All of our riverboats are inspected and certified by
the United States Coast Guard.
The Management and Staff of the Gateway Clipper Fleet
wants to insure that your experience aboard one of our
riverboats is a pleasant and stress-free outing on the
three rivers. With this in mind, please let us share
the following suggestions and policies with you:
RESERVATIONS & TICKET SALES:
We recommend that you purchase tickets in advance of
the scheduled cruise sailing date. However, tickets
can be purchased up until sailing time for all cruises
if availability permits.
NO ADVANCE SALE TICKETS ARE SOLD FOR SHUTTLE
SERVICE TO HEINZ FIELD OR PNC PARK. ALL SHUTTLE SERVICE
TICKETS ARE SOLD GAMEDAY ONLY.
Tickets for all dining, sightseeing and dance/concert
cruises can be purchased online 24 hours a day at www.gatewayclipper.com
or by calling our reservations sales office at 412-355-7980,
Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Or, you can visit
our reservation sales office at our Station Square Dock
location and purchase tickets on-site, Monday - Friday
from 9 am to 5 pm.
ALL CRUISE TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND WE
HAVE NO REFUND POLICY.
If you purchase your tickets online or by phone, you
can have your tickets mailed to you or you can pick
them up the day of your cruise at our dock ticket box
office. Please note, any tickets purchased within
72 hours of scheduled cruise sailing time must be picked
up at the dock ticket box office the day of your cruise.
TIMELY ARRIVAL AT GATEWAY CLIPPER FLEET:
We recommend that you arrive for your scheduled cruise
at least 30 minutes before cruise departure.
Please allow extra time if you need to pickup tickets
at the box office.
STATION SQUARE PARKING:
Parking is available at all Station Square Parking Lots,
however, we recommend that you park in the West Parking
Lot or the Parking Garage. Please remember that
the Gateway Clipper Fleet does not control parking at
Station Square. Be advised that lot attendants
may direct traffic to any available lot at their discretion.
Again,we advise that you arrive for your cruise early
to avoid any parking issues.
AGE REQUIREMENTS:
There are no age restrictions for passengers aboard
any public dining or sightseeing cruise. We ask that
all children under the age of 16 be accompanied and
supervised by an adult while onboard.
DANCE OR CONCERT CRUISES:
ON ALL DANCE OR CONCERT CRUISES THAT SERVE ALCOHOL WITHOUT
MEAL SERVICE, ALL PASSENGERS MUST BE 21 YEARS
OF AGE AND MUST SHOW PROPER AND VALID PHOTO
IDENTIFICATION. NO PASSENGER WILL BE ALLOWED
TO BOARD A DANCE OR CONCERT CRUISE WITHOUT IDENTIFICATION
- NO EXCEPTIONS!
SEATING POLICY:
Every seat aboard one of our riverboats is a good seat
for sightseeing due to our riverboats panoramic windows.
There is no reserve seating on any sightseeing or dance/concert
cruises.
Seating is reserved on all dining cruises. We
understand that you may have special seating requests,
and whenever possible, we will try to honor those requests.
However, please note that we cannot guarantee any seating
requests.
PUBLIC CRUISE ETIQUETTE:
Please remember that you are scheduled aboard a public
cruise and that your party or group will be one of many
onboard. While we want your trip to be a very enjoyable
and memorable event, we can not allow any special banners,
table decorations, food or beverages to brought onto
the vessels. No speeches or announcements are allowed
by any one group or party.
DRESS CODE:
Since we offer a variety of cruises, we
do not have a specific dress code. However, please let
us give you the following recommendations:
Sightseeing Cruises: Casual, comfortable
dress is best. Remember that while our boats are climate-controlled,
you may want to venture out on our outer decks, so please
keep in mind the season and dress accordingly.
Chick 'N Ribs, Luncheon, Brunch and Nationality
Dining Cruises: Dressy, casual clothing is
best. We want you to venture out on our outer decks,
so please keep in mind that you may need a jacket or
coat for comfort while outside.
Captain's Dinner Dance Cruise: This
is our most elegant cruise and proper dress is recommended. Dressy casual outfits for both men and women are appropriate.
We suggest that you do not wear blue jeans, tank tops,
sweatshirts or shorts. Please dress as you would to
any fine restaurant. We want you to venture out on our
outer decks, so please keep in mind that you may need
a jacket or coat for comfort while outside.
Oldies or Big Band Dinner Dance Cruise:
Dressy casual outfits for both men and women are appropriate.
We suggest that you do not wear blue jeans, tank tops,
sweatshirts or shorts. Please dress as you would to
any fine restaurant. We want you to venture out on our
outer decks, so please keep in mind that you may need
a jacket or coat for comfort while outside.
Dance or Concert Cruises: Casual "Club"
dress is recommended. Remember that while our boats
are climate-controlled, you may want to venture out
on our outer decks, so please keep in mind the season
and dress accordingly.
SMOKING POLICY:
For All Cruises: Smoking is restricted to the outside decks only.
SOUVENIR PHOTOS:
For many cruises, photos are taken as you board. Photos
will be available for purchase after your cruise. If you wish to reorder your souvenir photos after your cruise date, please contact Sharpshooter Lab at 412-281-3896.
